He received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Arizona with an emphasis in marketing. At age 19, he joined the Army as a photographer.

Despite the limited number of films that he directed during his lifetime, he made an impressive body of work.

Aside from his directing work, Asher was also an accomplished television producer. He directed episodes of “The Paul Lynde Show,” “Alice,” and “The Danny Thomas Show.” In addition, Asher co-created and directed the popular comedy series “Bewitched” with Elizabeth Montgomery. His beach party movies, however, featured fading Hollywood stars. His surfers were often scantily clad.

Bill Asher has also started a daily fantasy sports website called Monkey Knife Fight. Asher, who was
